Can your team build a model aircraft which will successfully fly with a payload?

The British Model Flying Association (BMFA) are holding this year’s BMFA Payload Challenge on 1-3 June 2018 at the The National Centre for Model Flying, BMFA Buckminster, Sewstern Lane, Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG33 5RW.

The 2018 challenge includes two new challenges aimed at providing teams an easily achievable starting point and also providing a structured progression through the competition and categories.

There are five challenges in total and each is designed to be both a fun and educational activity with increasing academic rigour as teams move on to the more advanced categories. The event is a fantastic way to bring together secondary schools and university students to test your engineering and design skills and meet other young people

Full details of this year’s challenge are available at the BMFA website. The challenge is sponsored by CargoAirLogic, supported by BAE Systems and partnered by the Royal Aeronautical Society.
