The Royal Aeronautical Society is delighted to be part of Futures Day 2018 taking place on Friday 20 July at the Farnborough International air show, one of the world’s biggest and most prestigious aerospace events, bringing the world’s aerospace industry together under one sky.

The Farnborough AirShow is the perfect backdrop to motivate young people to study STEM subjects and discover the many different career opportunities available in the dynamic sectors of Aerospace and Defence.

On Futures Day, groups from schools, universities and youth associations (aged between 11-21) who are registered by a teacher or group leader, get to attend the airshow and participate in Futures Day, for FREE.

The interactive, informative and engaging programme enables the next generation to see first-hand the variety, innovation and expertise that makes a career in these key sectors so rewarding. Activities include:

  • Investigating science and engineering behind applications and designs
  • Gaining insight and guidance from professional careers advisors and universities
  • Experiencing flight simulators
  • Networking with industry ambassadors and employers

And, of course, a chance to watch the amazing flying display of the latest aircraft!
