Flightcrowd/RAeS Urban Air Mobility Workshop for students aged 14-18

Print page

Calling all innovators aged 14-18! Have you ever thought about what it would be like to travel in a flying car? Urban Air Mobility (UAM) is set to become the future of transportation, and it is coming sooner than you imagine!

Aimed at students aged 14-18, this outreach initiative enables young people to learn about the different aspects of future air mobility, embrace their creativity and have a platform to share their ideas!

Focusing on three key branches of the UAM ecosystem, Vehicle Design & Engineering, Infrastructure and Public Engagement, we want to know your vision of the world’s future with UAM!

PHASE 1: Workshops

This exciting, complex ecosystem requires talented people of all backgrounds and interests, so each workshop day will be dedicated to a different branch of UAM: Vehicle Design & Engineering, Infrastructure and Public Engagement.

Each workshop is FREE and will take place online. This includes:

  • An introduction to UAM, it’s key benefits, applications, and challenges;
  • Presentations from incredible UAM industry professionals, who will provide key insights into their work and share their experiences and advice;
  • A workshop, where in small teams you will be challenged to produce design solutions in response to a given brief;
  • An opportunity to network and ask questions;

At the end of the insight day, each student team will be able to present their UAM visions to their peers, industry professionals, and the Flight Crowd team!
